The Monitor® system is widely recognized as a reliable, proven 24/7 electric utility operations tool and “next generation” mapboard technology that delivers high resolution graphic quality, a most efficient means for updating your system image and flexibility for future expansion of the power system. Our displays are a highly effective tool in Generation, Transmission and Distribution Operation Control Centers across all market segments including Investor Owned Utilities, Municipal Utilities, Electric Cooperatives and Federal Government facilities.

Our Electric Utility industry experience dates back to 1954 with expertise in the area of Transmission Design. As a consultant to the industry in the 1970’s, our organization became a trusted resource for electric utilities in need of engineering, design and mapping services. Our consultative approach was effective in identifying customer needs and solving problems which eventually created the opportunity for us to expand into the mapboard display industry.

The Monitor® mapboard system was developed in the mid-1980’s in direct response to an industry need for a more versatile Mapboard display technology that offered ease of updating, improved graphic quality and one that could be customized to meet the individual operational requirements of each electric utility. System Operators and Control Room Dispatchers expressed a need for a visually effective, easily update-able display of their power system and we delivered.

Through the 1990’s, our modular, magnetic steel panel format became a popular alternative to existing mapboard technologies primarily due to the superior graphic quality, ease of updating and flexibility for expansion of systems.

Today, we consider it a privilege that many Power System Operators across North America rely on the Monitor® mapboard system to provide a reliable “big picture” system overview that helps them to perform their job more effectively each day.
